EGG STUFFED BUN

INGREDIENTS:

Egg - 1 nos
Melted butter - 2 tbsp

For making Bun:

Hot water - 1/2 cup
Milk ( room temperature) - 1/2 cup
Active dried yeast - 3 tsp
All purpose flour / Maida - 3 cup
Oil/ Melted butter - 2 + 1 tbsp
Water - 1/4 cup or required
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 1tbsp

For making Egg masala:

Boiled eggs - 4 Nos
Chopped onion - 2 (medium size)
Capsicum - 1/4 cup ( used green one)
Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Chili powder - 1tsp
pepper powder - 1tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Dark soy sauce - 1 tsp
Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp
Water - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste


METHOD:

1. In a bowl add hot water, milk , sugar and active dried yeast and mix well. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.

2. The yeast will active in 10 minutes. Do not start the next step if the yeast didn't activate properly. 

3. Add maida, salt, yeast mixture into a mixing bowl and start to make a dough by adding water .

4. knead the dough for 5 minutes and grease the dough with oil .

5. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 to 2 hour, or until it's doubled.

6.Dust the dough with some all purpose flour or maida and knead for 5 minutes.

7. Divide the dough into 8 pieces.

8. For making masala, add oil in a hot pan. When oil heat up , add chopped onion and saute well.

9. When onion become translucent, add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. Add chopped capsicum and mix well.

10.Add turmeric powder, chili powder, pepper powder and coriander powder. Saute for a minute.

11. Add soy sauce , tomato ketchup and water . Mix well. The masala is ready.

12. Flatten the dough pieces with fingers and add 1 tbsp of masala and half of one boiled egg.

13. close the edges and make a ball shape. You can make 8 bun .

14. Cover and let it rise for 10 minutes. Brush the buns with beaten egg or melted butter.

15. Bake in a preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes at 180 degree celcius.

16. After baking brush buns with melted butter. allow it cool completely.

17. For baking without oven, heat a heavy bottom pan and layer salt . Salt should completely cover the bottom of pan .

18. Close the lid and keep on low heat for 10 minutes. Place a stand or small plate on top of salt. Do not skip it. It prevents the bun from burning at the bottom side.

19. Place a greased plate on top of stand. Keep the bun in the plate and close the pot with lid.

20. Bake the bun on low heat for 35 to 45 minutes.

21. Enjoy the bun with hot tea or coffee.

 Pepper garlic Mushroom fry Ingredients: Butter mushroom - 200g Coconut oil / Butter - 1 Tbsp Pepper powder - 2 tsp Soy sauce - 1 tsp Garlic minced - 1 Tbsp Chopped onion - 1/2 cup Chopped capsicum - 1/4 cup Curry leaves Salt to taste   Method: 1. Into a bowl add water and mushroom . Gently clean the mushrooms . Do not soak mushroom in water for long . Drain the water completely. Place the mushrooms on a cleaned kitchen towel . Cut the mushrooms into 2 parts  if the mushrooms are big in size. 2. Into a heated pan , add coconut oil.  3. When oil heats up, add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes. Add garlic and capsicum.
