Pepper prawns fry/ (Kerala style pepper prawns roast)

PEPPER PRAWNS ROAST (Kerala style pepper prawns roast)





INGREDIENTS:


Chopped onion- 1 Cup
Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Green chili - 2to 3 nos ( According to your spice level)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp (optional)
Curry leaves - 1spring

TO MARINATE:


Cleaned Prawns - 400g
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Curry leaves - 1 spring

METHOD:


1.    Marinate the prawns with pepper powder, turmeric powder, salt and curry leaves. keep it aside for 15 minutes.
2.    Heat a kadai and add coconut oil. When oil heat up add prawns and fry  both sides for 1 minute each.
3.     Add chopped onion to the same oil and saute well.
4.    Add green chilies and ginger garlic paste.  Saute it until the onion become brown in color.
5.     Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala .Saute it well until the raw smell of spices gone.
6.    Add prawns and mix well. Cover and cook it for 3 minutes.
7.     After 3 minutes, open the lid and roast prawns well. The water content should evaporate  completely.
8.    Add pepper powder and curry leaves.
9.    Serve hot  with rice.

    Kerala style Appam Recipe Ingredients: Rice (Idli rice / white rice) - 2 Cup Sugar - 3 Tbsp Salt - 1/2 tsp Instant yeast - 1 tsp Grated coconut - 1 cup Coconut milk / Water - 1& 1/4 cup Oil / ghee , for roasting Water as required ( Soaking & grinding )   Method: 1. WHOLE WHEAT BANANA CAKE   INGREDIENTS: Whole wheat flour - 1 ¾  Cup Mashed ripe bananas - 1 cup Honey - 1/2 cup Sunflower oil - 1/3 cup Eggs - 2 Water - 1/4 cup Baking soda - 1 tsp Salt - 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence - 1 tsp INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat oven to 160 degree celcius (320 F). 2.  In a mixing bowl , add whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. 3. In an another mixing bowl, beat oil and honey together with a whisk. Add eggs and beat well. 4. Mash the ripe bananas with fork . Don't use mixer for this . Add mashed banana and vanilla essence. Beat well. DO NOT USE WHISK AFTER THIS STEP. 5. Add the dry ingredients into wet ingredients slowly and gently fold it using spatula. Add water slowly and fold it together with other ingredients.  6.
